Our orthopaedic physiotherapists will assess your function and ability and will prescribe the right exercises tailored to you. They will consider your orthopaedic protocol and weight bearing statis. We can advise on the right walking aid or equipment and can help to progress you back to your previous level of function and mobility. We can help your rehabilitation back into the community and guide you every step of the way.

In elderly people, having an operation can have a significant affect on quality of life and the ability to remain independent. There are increased risks of complications and the recovering can be more challenging with the potential for longer hospital stays. This can have a significant impact on your independence and safety at home. Your qualified physiotherapist or OT can aid your recovery and rehabilitation at home, progressing your treatment as you improve to continue to reach new goals.
