Before we visit

  1. We will discuss your requirements over the phone prior to your first visit to see if physiotherapy will be suitable for you and how we can help.

  2. We will advise you if we think other services would be more appropriate and how to go about sourcing these. 

  3. Discussing concerns prior to your first visit, helps us to determine your needs and obtain a good picture of what may be required for your visit.

When we visit

  1. On your first visit, your physiotherapist will complete an initial assessment in your own home or care home at a suitable time for you.  

  2. They will provide a comprehensive assessment to find out your individual needs and issues followed by a physical examination. This may include looking at your walking, balance, strength, flexibility, function and movement as well as any other issues that have been identified.

  3.  A tailored treatment plan will be devised to suit each individual, taking into account all areas of concern and well-being. Physiotherapy can make enormous changes in improving someone’s quality of life and mental well-being as well as improving physical function.

  4. Your physiotherapist can request referral to other services/professions if felt appropriate to benefit your treatment.
