Our specialist physiotherapist Abi has 18 years of experience in treating adults and children with learning disabilities. Learning disabilities are caused by the way the brain develops and can have a significant impact on the person’s life.
Abi is trained in Cerebral Palsy and has extensive skills and experience in postural and mobility management. Abi can provide specialist 24 hour postural care management which is a holistic approach aiming to improve and maintain posture throughout the day and night. Abi is also passionate about treating children with special educational needs and disability (SEND).
Our physiotherapists are able to provide advice on sleep and seating systems aiming to improve comfort and quality of life as much as possible. Abi is also trained in hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
Our neurological and paediatric physiotherapists also have extensive knowledge in treating paediatric conditions including cerebral palsy, special needs, learning difficulties and disabilities, genetic conditions and neuromuscular conditions.
On your first visit your physiotherapist will provide a comprehensive assessment helping to identify areas of need and limitations. A tailored physiotherapy programme will be provided for each individual depending on the needs identified and will work with each individual and their care givers to enhance health and wellbeing. We are passionate about providing the highest quality of care and treatment in your own home.
